About the Course
High blood pressure is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Visit-to-visit blood pressure variability (BPV) has been shown to predict cardiovascular outcomes.1 The goal of this learning activity is to provide doctors with a comprehensive review of BPV and its implication in cardiovascular diseases.

About the Presenter

Prof. Peter James Kahrilas, M.D.
Konstantinos Tsioufis is a Professor of Cardiology and Director of the 1st cardiology clinic of the Hippokration Hospital, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Prof. Tsioufis works as an interventional cardiologist as well as a hypertension specialist in the 1st Department of Cardiology, University of Athens.
He has a special interest in the cardiorenal disease, heart failure, sudden death and peripheral arterial disease. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Veterans Affairs Medical Centre, Georgetown University Washington DC, USA. He has published widely on hypertensive disease, cardiorenal disease, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology and he is involved in major clinical trials regarding novel interventional therapies of hypertension and particularly renal denervation. He has >360 publications in peer-reviewed Journals (H-index> 40). He is co-editor of the book ‘’interventional therapies of secondary and essential hypertension’’ and he has contributed with more than 25 Chapters in Books. He is Member of the Editorial Board and Reviewer in major Cardiology, Hypertension.
