About the Course
Malaysia's Online Academy for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
Course director: Prof. Dr. Ida Normiha Hilmi, Consultant Gastroenterologist.
This informal learning academy provides a concise and holistic overview of IBD in six engaging modules.
  • Each module contains not more than 35 minutes of recording, with pre & post assessment questions and online resources for download.
  • The average course duration is 3 hours, so you may complete the whole thing in a week or pace yourself over a longer time span.
  • For participants who are joining the IBD Preceptorship Programme, it is recommended to complete the course beforehand.
Module 4: Holistic Patient-centred Care for IBD
Upon completing this module, participants will have a better understanding of IBD in the following aspects:
  • Multidisciplinary team (MDT) care
  • Mental and psychosocial management
  • Ostomy care
  • Nutrition care & management of extraintestinal manifestations in IBD

About the Presenters

Dr. Nik Razima Wan Ibrahim
Consultant Gastroenterologist
Dr Nik Razima Wan Ibrahim specialises in the area of gastroenterology and hepatology. Her areas of interest are inflammatory bowel diseases and colorectal cancer screening. She is also experienced in treating patients with peptic ulcer disease, viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease and liver cirrhosis. She is skilled in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of the GI tract as well as capsule endoscopy. Dr Nik Razima is an execute committee member of the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and also member of Malaysian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Special Interest Group (IBD-SIG).
Cik Siti Hawa Mohd Taib
Clinical Dietitian
Siti Hawa is currently a Clinical Dietitian at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). She Specialises in Medical Nutrition Therapy in Paediatrics and actively involved as a facilitator in postgraduate and undergraduate programs in University of Malaya. Siti Hawa is also a member of Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA), Parenteral and Enteral Association of Malaysia and Asian Pan-Pacific Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and a member of the IMFeD Expert Panel.
